Megan and Travis' wedding was so full of laughter and fun. Their gang of friends celebrated the happy couple like they were the best folks on earth. The Minnesota fall had us pretty chilly, but the sun shone all through the ceremony. We love photographing weddings in which the couples are so in love, that it's not even a choice anymore. They're just meant to be.
These two adorable folks let us lead them around tourist spots in Taylors Falls, and ended up in the water at the end of the session. (They both almost went all the way under during a little slippery pose adjustment, too haha!) We climbed bluffs, swatted mosquitoes, leaned inside juniper bushes... And at the end, we all sat down at a bright yellow picnic table at a fifties drive in themed restaurant and had a burger (also, the place had some reallllly good raspberry lemonade if anyone wants a recommendation). Thanks J&J, for being good sports about the heat and the bugs during your engagement photo session, and for giving us so many laughs.
We think sunglasses for every senior shoot should be required. How cute and sassy is this?! Senior sessions are so much fun when there are fashion statements being made.
There was a storm threatening to open up and start pouring during Shelby's photoshoot, but that just allowed us to have some overcast skies. It started to drizzle as soon as we got in the car afterwards. But pretty sure we pulled off some cute photos despite the race against mama nature.
This was one of our most fun senior shoots of 2018! We had gorgeous weather and a gorgeous model! Annika brought her motorcycle and her A game. For real. The girl knows how to give a soft smile and smoldering eye like nobody's business!
This wedding was the second farthest we've traveled for an event. We drove to Central Iowa to celebrate with these wonderful folks. There were so many welcoming friends and family there to be photographed and to get to know. The location was gorgeous - a tiny white chapel surrounded by fields out in the country, and a reception at their historic farm. Well worth the traveling for us!
These two gave us so many laughs, and they are so in love. We drove through hail on the way there and totally thought we were going to have to reschedule... But the most we had once we got to our location was a little drizzle. And a whole lotta pines and laughing. These two snugglers and the overcast skies made for one easy peasy shoot. Folks that are comfortable together and aren't afraid to be themselves in front of the camera, make our jobs so simple!
Kia, KWP's assistant and backup shooter, graduates in 2019 (but has been in the photo biz for 3 years already!). We've done a few different senior sessions for her since she's been a big part of this business. It's been so much fun scoping out locations over the last year for potential senior shoots for her! Congrats, Kia! Excited to see what you do in the future!
Our spring wedding season started with a misty wedding day on a Central Minnesota farm. The rain didn't keep our bride and groom from getting outside and enjoying their friends and family. The overcast lighting made for some gorgeous lighting for wedding portraits! There were SO many amazing wedding details. Mason jar chandelier at the altar, gorgeous floral, even a wandering pooch.
